Contactless chip cards are already an established part of many applications access control (ski resorts, office buildings, hotels etc.), time recording systems, member and club IDs and much more. The contactless chip card is one of the more robust and long-lived members of the RFID family.
Chips can be Read-Only or Read/Write, as needed. This makes cards very flexible, since they can change owners by changing the information on the RFID.
Unlike magnetic strips or contact-printed chip cards, the RFID chip does not affect the visual printing on the card, so both sides of the card are available for unfettered design.
